Shades & Car Parking Canopies
Fabric or polycarbonate canopies for cars, seating and pools, on a corrosion-resistant frame.

A canopy here faces direct sun, high humidity and dust, so the specification matters more than the shape. Fabric must be UV-resistant PVDF or HDPE with a warranty measured in years not months, and the frame galvanised and powder-coated. We calculate loads against local wind speeds — a canopy that lifts in the first storm costs more than the price difference.
Fabric type is the whole difference
All canopies look identical on installation day. The difference appears after a season or two: outdoor-grade UV-resistant fabric holds its colour and strength for years, while ordinary canvas fades, embrittles and tears at the tension points.
UAE sun is among the harshest environments for fabric. So the first question is not "how does it look" — it is "what fabric, at what resistance rating".
Wind is the real load
People assume a canopy's load is its own weight. The actual load is wind pressure — a canopy is a broad surface acting like a sail, and seasonal storms generate substantial uplift. That is why foundations are calculated for wind load, not frame weight.
A weak foundation shows nothing all year — it shows in the first storm, when the canopy lifts with its footing attached.
Fall is a requirement, not a style
Flat, level fabric pools rainwater in the middle; the weight increases sag; the sag collects more water. That loop ends in a tear at a tension point or frame collapse. A fall lets water run off by itself — an engineering reason, not a visual preference.
Even tensioning
Unevenly tensioned fabric flutters in wind. That flutter is not just noise — it is repeated stress that weakens the fabric at fixing points and sharply shortens its life. Correct tensioning distributes forces evenly across every point.
Carports: height and calculation
Clearance must admit tall vehicles — an SUV or van is significantly higher than a sedan, and a canopy sized for a sedan is useless to an owner with a larger vehicle.
The real benefit to the car is substantial: shade blocks the direct radiation that drives interior temperature up markedly during long parking, and protects paint and dashboard from cracking over time.
Scope of work
- PVDF or HDPE fabric with UV resistance — not ordinary canvas
- Galvanised and coated steel frame on foundations calculated for wind
- Drainage falls that prevent rainwater pooling on the fabric
- Clearance height that admits tall vehicles in carport canopies
- Even tensioning that prevents sagging and wind flutter
- Fixed or retractable options depending on use
How we deliver
Measurement and load calculation
Measure area and required height, and calculate wind load on the proposed form — this sets frame sizes and foundations.
Foundations
Excavate and pour concrete bases sized to the load. A canopy with weak foundations lifts in the first storm.
Frame and erection
Install galvanised columns and beams, and set falls before the fabric goes on.
Tensioning and handover
Install and evenly tension the fabric, then check drainage and every fixing point.
