The project was completed for a private villa for the client Sarah Mohammed Khalifa Al Nuaimi in the Sas Al Nakhl compound, Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, and includes a 3×5 m pergola and 250 m² of artificial grass.
The challenge
The area where the artificial grass would go (250 m²) needed a level sand base prepared before laying it, and the pergola (3×5 m) footings had to go in at their fixed location before anything else — getting the sequence wrong meant digging into turf that was already laid.
The solution
The pergola footings went in first at their fixed location, then the sand base for the 250 m² area was graded with proper drainage falls, with the artificial grass laid last.
The outcome
The space was handed over with a completed 3×5 m pergola and artificial grass laid across the full 250 m².
