The challenge
The large 850 m² artificial grass area needed a consistent drainage base across the entire plot so no section pools water or settles unevenly, while the pergola (5×8 m) footings and the BBQ area's electrical and gas lines had to go in before the turf — all within a single month.
The solution
The pergola footings and the BBQ area's electrical and gas lines went in first, followed by grading a sand base with uniform drainage falls across the full 850 m², with the artificial grass laid last so it would be delivered clean and level without damage from the other trades' work.
The outcome
The project was handed over in exactly one month — 850 m² of 50mm artificial grass laid, a 5×8 m pergola completed, and a fully equipped BBQ area.
